The Meaning of Christmas

I’ve been waiting each Christmas for Santa and his sleigh
Hoping Kringle’ll bring me, some new games I want to play
He put a lot in my stocking, every Christmas of the past
But I’m still missing something……Something that will last...
I’m looking for the meaning of Christmas
Once again this year
I don’t feel ‘in the spirit’ enough to celebrate with cheer
Gonna get a load of presents
Gonna shed a lot of tears
I’m just looking for the meaning of Christmas this year
Man, I’m dreading this Christmas, hating, waiting ‘round in line
Sitting bumper to bumper, simply wasting precious time
I’ll buy a lot for the stockings, but I’m going nowhere fast
See, I’m still missing something, something that will last…
I’m just looking for the meaning of Christmas once again
this year…(repeat the above)
But what’s this left under my tree?
Something special left right here for me…
So, I stare at the manger where the little Baby lies
Could He be my Savior, is He the One who dies?
Did He really rise again to wipe away my past?
Could He be The Someone, The Someone Who Will Last?
Now I know the meaning of Christmas
Oh, I really know it this year
I’m gonna rise in the Spirit
Gonna celebrate and cheer!
You know, it’s not about the presents
But the Baby right here
Have you guessed what I got for Christmas?
Don’t you know I’m so blessed this Christmas?
I received the Best Gift for Christmas
Jesus this year. Amen!
